"When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer."
The really cool thing is that the Master Engineer of the Universe trusts you. In a lot of ways. And he specifically trusts you with the children that you have been given.
That means we have a responsibility to our children and to those around us. We have a responsibility to smile. To share kindness. To embrace rather than to shun.
We have a responsibility to let our light shine. And because there is so much crap in the world blocking out the sun, our little 60 watt bulbs come off like supernovas and instantaneously send the shadows scurrying.
So remember in whom you have placed your trust. Remember Him who trusts you. And let your children feel the hope that you still have. Teach them to trust. Teach them to turn from fear. Help them to remember who they are and why they are here.
As you do, your light will burn much brighter. And so will theirs. And your home will become a haven of hope and a sanctuary of sweet security.
All our love,
